Since I’ve been taking detailed notes of various lectures, I thought I might as well make them publicly available. I hope that these notes will be of some help to you. Here are a few important pages for getting started and learning key concepts. The upper row is helpful for Rookie and Novice debaters, while both the upper and lower rows are helpful for junior varsity and varsity debaters. If you want to organize things, click the “Home” tab at the top left to change views.

General tips for debate

Have fun! Stressing out in debate makes you think less effectively and overall reduces your ability to respond properly; you’ll win some and lose some when you’re first getting started, so don’t worry about knocking it out of the park your first few times. It took me a whole year to win a tournament, so enjoy it!
